Allen John Bradley ALLEN BRADLEY
Allen John Bradley, 66, of Gainesville, Texas, passed away on December 24, 2018. A memorial service will be held on January 5, 2019 at 2:00 PM at New Life Bible Church, 3901 E. Broadway, Gainesville, Texas 76240.
Allen was born on March 12, 1952 in Colorado Springs, Colorado to Prentiss and June Bradley. They moved to El Paso when he was a child. Allen met his wife, Kim, in the early 80s as he was her best friend's boss at the time. A few years later, they started dating in May 1986 and married on their lunch break on July 31 of the same year. Both returned to work as Kim's boss was going to make her work overtime to make up for the long lunch. After many years of owning his own computer business, Allen's father-in-law, Ken King, offered him land in Gainesville to build a house on. He moved his family to Gainesville in 1997 from El Paso, Texas and got a job at the University of North Texas. He worked there for 18 years before retiring in 2014. Allen's greatest love was to share the gospel of Jesus Christ. He taught bible study at the Gainesville State School for 21 years. He had many hobbies over the years, but most recently loved restoring old bibles, bookbinding, and woodworking. Allen was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, son and dear friend to many.

He is survived by his wife, Kim of Gainesville; daughter and son-in-law, Michelle Bradley and Jared Craig of Fort Collins, Colorado; grandson, Isaiah Bradley; mother and step-father of Isaiah, Alexa and Jake Goree of Gainesville; mother, June Bradley; sister, Barbara Bradley; sister and brother-in-law, Linda and Armando Medrano of El Paso, Texas; mother-in-law, Kaye Briscoe King of Gainesville; and father-in-law, Barry Waters of The Villages, Florida.
He was preceded in death by his son, Trevor Bradley; father, Prentiss Bradley; mother-in-law, Jan Waters; and father-in-law, Ken King.

We are so sorry for your loss Kim. I know you must be devestated but God is always here to comfort and guide us.
I remember Allen as our Sunday School teacher and enjoyed his teaching so much. He was a sweet and gentle man. We were studying a book that had a picture of a white-haired man with a staff on the cover; presumably Moses. To me Allen always looked like the Moses that was on the cover of that book. 😄
“The devil comes to steal, kill, and destroy” and he caught Allen off-guard. But in Romans 8:38-39 God promises nothing can separated us from the love of Christ.
We love you Kim. We pray that God’s Love, grace and peace be with you.

Kim something God told me just before John passed away is to take 1 day at a time. Don’t worry about tomorrow or today or time. Just 1 day at a time. And let no one tell you when it’s time to stop grieving. That’s strickly between you & God! Love you & praying for you!
