Billy Joe Hackler Jr. (TEX) 63 of Denton, Texas passed away on Monday, January 22, 2018 at his home in Denton, Texas. Billy was born on March 8, 1954 in Gainesville, Texas to Billy Joe Hackler Sr. and Elizabeth (Marcola) Hackler.
The second to the oldest of the Hackler children he was very well loved. Billy went to school at Gainesville High until till the 10th grade. He moved to California and graduated from Armijo High School in Fairfield California. Billy was a member of the Pipefitter Union in Costra County in Calif. and was a licensed Journeyman Electrician. He was an avid fisherman, hunter and camper. He lived a simple life. All who knew him knew he had a great sense of humor, could make anyone laugh and he will truly be missed.
Billy is survived by his sister, Sharon DuBois of Gainesville, five brothers, Ronnie Hackler of Gainesville, Mike Hackler and wife Nancy of Jefferson City, MO., Jerry Hackler and wife Brinda, Terry Hackler and wife Lisa all of Denton, James Hackler and wife Roxi of Sanger, surviving uncle, James R. Hackler of Gainesville, lifelong best friend, Diana Pyke of Denton and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.
A memorial/wake visitation will be held at DeBerry Funeral Services in Denton TX. Friday, January 26, 2018 from 6-8 P.M.
