Carl Benjamin Sadau, 86, of Joshua, Texas, passed away on Wednesday, December 27, 2017 in Keene, Texas, losing his battle with Alzheimer's. He was born on February 5, 1931 in Sanger, Texas, to Adolph Emil and Elma (Riffel) Sadau. Carl married his sweetheart, Corinne Kerbs, on September 30, 1956 in Sacramento, CA. Carl lived in Sanger for 83 years before moving to Joshua.
Carl attended Sanger I.S.D. schools and Southwestern Junior College in Keene, TX. Carl was a farmer his entire life, running a dairy, raising beef cattle, hay and various crops. He was a member of Sanger I.S.D. School Board for more than 20 years, serving as board President for many of those years. He was a member of Dairy Farmers of America; a member and former President of A.S.I.; and, a board member of Safe TV.
Carl was a member of the Denton First Seventh-day Adventist Church all his life. He had a passion for helping others and went on numerous mission trips building churches and working in dental clinics.
Carl is survived by his wife of 61 years, Corinne, three daughters, Lynne Anger and husband Charles, Carla House, Sharon Wahlenmaier, brother Ernest Sadau, seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Carl is preceded in death by his parents, Adolph and Elma, and his brother, Paul.
Family will receive friends on Friday, January 5, 2018 at DeBerry Funeral Directors in Denton, Texas from 6-8 P.M. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 6, 2018 at DeBerry Funeral Directors at 1:30 P.M.; interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park in Denton, Texas.
