Eugene Earl Nottingham


Eugene Earl Nottingham 88, of Cleburne, Texas, passed away on May 30, 2019.
Eugene Earl Nottingham was born on Nov. 29 1930 to Olen Earl and Lula Ann (Beaty) Nottingham. Eugene was the second oldest of five siblings. He served in the United States Marine Corps from 1950-1953. By trade he was a mechanic and a wrecker driver for many years, and he also bought and sold used equipment. Mr. Nottingham was a well- loved Saint of God. He taught Sunday school for many years and later became an usher. He was always working and giving to the church.
Survivors include his loving wife Joan E. Nottingham of 38 years; living children, spouses, and grandchildren, Cynthia Ann and Thomas Swindle and 2 daughters; Sue Ann and Rev. Richard Perry and 1 son; James David and Lynda Nottingham and 2 sons; Tommy Earl and Nancy Nottingham and 5 sons; Bryan Keith and Tobie Nottingham and 5 daughters; Lisa Joyce Nottingham and 2 sons and 2 daughters; many nieces and nephews
He was preceded in death by his parents, siblings, and sons (Eugene (Jr.); Curtis Lee; John Paul)
Services will be held on Sunday, June 9th at First Pentecostal Church of Gainesville, 5760 E Hwy 82 Gainesville, Texas 76240 from 6-8 pm. Officiating will be Rev. Rick Perry with the assistance of Pastor Jeff Crider. A second memorial service will be held in Cleburne, Texas, contact family for further information.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Joan E Nottingham at the time of service.
