Georgina Soledad De La Rosa Serrano
Gainesville resident, Georgina Soledad De La Rosa Serrano, 54, passed away Monday, September 5, 2016, at Denton Presbyterian Hospital. She was born October 27, 1961 in Mexico City, Mexico to Esteban De La Rosa and Salome Martinez. Georgiana was a high school teacher for the Valley View Independent School District.
Services will be held Friday, September 9th at 3:00 p.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery. Visitation will be held at Meador Funeral Home on Thursday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
Georgina was a loving mother and friend to all around her. She valued education above all else and made sure all her kids received an education. She was strong and determined, overcoming all obstacles with grace. Georgina's selflessness and compassion made a positive impact in many lives. Georgina will always be remembered with love by her family and friends.
Survivors include her husband, Alvro Serrano of Gainesville; mother, Salome Martinez; daughter, Mitzyn De La Rosa of Arlington, Virginia; sons, Omar De La Rosa of Las Vegas, Nevada, David Serrano of San Marcos, Texas and Fernando Serrano of Rexburg, Idaho. She was preceded in death by her father and a brother, Esteban De La Rosa
