Judith Kay Slaughenhaupt Milliron-Childs, 75, of Whitesboro, Texas was welcomed into her Heavenly Home Friday, January 6, 2017 in Dallas, Texas. Celebration of Life services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, January 21,2017, at the Collinsville Bible Baptist Church in Collinsville, Texas with internment to take place at a later date in Santa Fe, N.M.
Judy was born July 2, 1941 to George and Ione (Hunt) Slaughenhaupt. Judith moved from New York several years ago and has most recently lived in Gainesville and Whitesboro, Texas. Judith married Dale Forrest Milliron and together raised 4 children. In 1982, the family moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico and lived there until Dale's passing in 1988. Several years later Judy married long time family friend Ray Childs. During their marriage, Ray and Judy resided in Florida and New York and then most recently in Texas. In 2011, Ray passed away. Judy was a wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, friend, but most of all she wanted to be recognized for her love of Christ.
She was a member of Collinsville Bible Baptist Church where she played the piano and often blessed the congregation with her beautiful voice.
Judith is survived by 2 sons, Timothy Milliron and wife Nancy of Olean, N.Y., Keith Milliron and wife Greta of Albuquerque, N.M. and 2 daughters , Dawn Bell and husband Don of Dimmitt, Texas, and Kim Evans and husband Vernon of Whitesboro, Texas. Judith also leaves behind many grandchildren and great grandchildren as well as bothers and sisters.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Dale Milliron in 1988, and her second husband, Ray Childs in 2011 as well as 1 brother and 4 sisters.
