Lela Marie Ellison

Events

Lela Marie Ellison, 55, of Bethany, Oklahoma went home to be with our Lord on August 5, 2019, sadly a victim of domestic violence.
Family, friends, and others whose lives Lela has touched are invited to attend a Celebration of Life on August 24, 2019 from 11-3 at Cooke County Cowboy Church in Gainesville, Texas.
Lela was born on November 19, 1963 in Monahans, Texas to Allen and Mary Ann Ellison where she also attended high school. She ultimately received her GED from Odessa College. Lela was a devoted mother and grandmother. She enjoyed cooking for everyone, and some of her grandkids favorite foods were her fried tators, macaroni and cheese, and SOS. She never met a stranger, and anyone that knew her, loved her. She was a kind person and always willing to lend a helping hand. She opened her heart and her home to many people in need over the years. Lela started in the collision repair business in the late 1980's, following in the footsteps of her father, brother, and uncle, and continued in that field until she passed. She is well known in the industry for her knowledge and professionalism. Her death has left a deep void in many hearts, and she will be forever missed.
She is survived by her 3 children, daughter Amanda (Maurice) Hastie of Dripping Springs, Texas, son Eric (Alicia) Wafford of Dallas, Texas, son Brandon Bosnyak of Dripping Springs, and also 9 grandchildren, Brackett, Tristan, Keegan, Jayden, Annika, Casyn, Braydon, Jordyn, and Violet. She is also survived by her siblings, sister Cindy Hill, brothers Ronald and Donald Ellison, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws, and friends she considered family.
Lela joins her parents Allen and Mary Ann Ellison, many sets of grandparents, her niece Jessica Nance, and cousin Joey Don Burke in heaven.
Flowers and condolences may be sent to National Auto Collision at 30867 US 82, Whitesboro, Texas 76273.
The family has requested to please wear purple accents to show your support for Domestic Violence Awareness, aiming to help bring attention to the cause and hopefully prevent anyone else from having to go through this senseless tragedy. I will miss her greatly. I can still remember her cranking alanis morsette up through the house and singing at the top of her lungs. She was welcoming to anyone, and would do anything in the world for you. R.I.P. 💙💙💙💙💙
