Pottsboro- Funeral services for Lou Nell "Lucy" Beall will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, February 23 at Parkside Baptist Church in Denison. Dr. Chet Haney will officiate. Burial will follow at Georgetown Cemetery with Mrs. Beall's nephews serving as pallbearers. Mrs. Beall, 83, passed away Tuesday, February 21 at the Homestead of Denison.
Lucy was born July 17, 1933 in Bells, Texas to the late Elmer Ray and Jewell (Burk) Climer. She married Thomas Beall on October 15, 1949 in Whitewright. Lucy graduated from Bells High School and attended Paris Junior College. She worked 23 years at Texas Instruments, retiring in 1991. Mrs. Beall was a devoted pastor's wife who loved the Lord and was a faithful partner in her husband's ministry for 66 years. She loved music and singing, and enjoyed working crossword puzzles in her free time. Lucy was a member of the Parkside Baptist Church in Denison.
Mrs. Beall is survived by her husband Thomas of Pottsboro; three sons, Darold Beall and wife Betsy of Denton, Jeffrey Beall of Sugar Land, and Kevin Beall and wife Susan of Gainesville; six grandchildren, Seth Beall, Jeffrey Bender, Dr. Ashley Bender, Stephen Beall, Brooke Beall, and Anna Beall; four great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and one grandchild, Joseph Beall.
The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 PM Wednesday at Waldo Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the Parkside Baptist Church Building Fund at 301 N. Lillis, Denison, Texas 75020. The register book can be signed online at waldofuneralhome.com.
