Margaret Oleta Pena, 68, a native of Denton, Texas, died Friday, August 19. Funeral mass is set for Thursday, August 25. 2016 at 10:00 A.M. at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Denton, with Father Tim Thompson officiating. Burial will follow at Valley View Cemetery in Valley View, Texas. Visitation will be held from 6-7 PM on Wednesday August 24, 2016, with rosary will be said at 7 P.M. at DeBerry in Denton.
Pena, known affectionately as "Mo" to friends and family, was born June 12, 1948, in Denton to Millard C. Beaird and Lettie Oleta Beaird. She attended Denton schools and graduated from Denton High School with the Class of 1966.
She worked for Victor Equipment in Denton for more than 20 years as a quality inspector on the torch assembly line. She enjoyed shopping, RV camping, dancing, and spending time with friends and loved ones.
On May 5, 1991, she married Gilbert Pena in Denton. The couple resided in Valley View and recently in Denton.
Pena grew up attending several local Baptist churches. She gave her heart to Jesus Christ and became a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in 2000, joining her husband as a confirmed Roman Catholic.
Survivors include: her husband; son and daughter-in-law Danny and Kathy McNatt of Omaha, Texas; son and daughter-in-law Rev. Randy Jr. and Dr. Cindi Jackson of Winters, Texas; stepdaughter and her husband Kacie and Aubrey Ishmael of Bolivar, Texas; and stepson and his wife Randy and Stephanie Pena of Valley View, Texas,
Texas; Brother and sister-in-law Roger and Carol Beaird of Era, Texas along with seven grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by: her mother; father; a brother, Calvin Beaird; a stepdaughter, Elizabeth Jones; and a niece, Amy Beaird.
Pallbearers include: Danny McNatt, Randy Jackson, Jr., Randy Pena, Aubrey Ishmael, Rodney Pena, and Kevin Jones.
