Mary E. Gillum, 91, of Gainesville, TX, passed away Thursday, March 8, 2018 in Gainesville, TX. Mary was born November 22, 1926 in Ethel, TX to Elmer and Bertha Mae (Hurley) Coulston. She married Walker Gillum on January 3, 1946 in Grayson County. Mary was a former beautician.
Mary is survived by her daughters, Debi Walker and husband, Scott of Flint, TX, Teresa Hudson and Steve Lynch of Kaneohe, HI; grandchildren, Jennifer Wilson and husband Jody of Rosston, TX, Clint Worthey and wife, Jennifer of Celina, TX, Ryan Worthey and wife, Mindy of Celina, TX, Ric Melcalf II and wife, Angela of Sherman, TX; eight great-grandchildren, Jocelyn, Megan, Josh, Kailee, Caden, Makayla, Julie and Carli; and her sister in law, Patricia Gillum of Denton, TX.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Elmer and Bertha Coulston; sister, Barbara Lynn Booth; and brother, James Coulston.
Visitation will be held Sunday, March 11, 2018 from 3:00-5:00PM at Slay Memorial Chapel in Aubrey, TX. A funeral service will be held at 2:00PM on Monday, March 12, 2018 at Slay Memorial Chapel in Aubrey, TX with Rev. G.A. Moore officiating. Burial will be at Tioga Cemetery in Tioga, TX.
