Nina's Story

Nina Franciocci, age 35, was born March 1, 1982 in Yaroslavl, Russia to Luidmila and Fedor Trofimova. She spent her younger years in Russia where she was an outstanding student, winning the gold medal recognizing her in the top 3% of all students in Russia. In 1996, Nina received an award in a writing competition which earned her the opportunity to come to America. Nina lived with the Robert Cheatham family in Gainesville, Texas where she worked at Plaza Pharmacy while attending high school. After graduation from Gainesville High School and North Central Texas College, Nina attended Texas Woman's University where she graduated first in her class in the School of Business. She then began a successful career in the pharmaceutical industry where she later achieved the position of Business Director for Merz North America.
Nina was a loving member of the Cheatham family where she was introduced to many cultural aspects of America, and experienced many enjoyable events with the family. She loved being a Texan and was proud to call it home. Her time spent at Gainesville High School, North Central Texas College and Texas Woman's University was a time of academic success, awards, and life-long friendships.
Nina had resided in the Houston area since 2005. She was an active member in her community and very devoted to her job. She is survived by her husband Emmanuel Franciocci, and the loves of her life, her sons Maximus,age 4 and Luka, age 1.5. She is also survived by her Russian Family- her parents, Luidmila and Fedor, her sister Rita, and her niece, Anastasia. She is also survived by her American parents, Robert and Melinda Cheatham, sister Cory Cheatham Corbin, husband Clint, and sister Chaney Cheatham. Nina also had one nephew, Crosby Corbin and one niece, Ainsley Cheatham.
A celebration of Nina's life will be held on September 17th, 2017 at First United Methodist Church in Gainesville, Texas at 3:00 PM.
