Palmer K. "Polly"'s Story
Palmer K. "Polly" Burba Logan, age 85, of Wichita Falls, Texas, formerly of Archer City, passed away early Thursday morning, July 20, 2017, in Hospice of Wichita Falls.
The family will be receiving friends Monday, July 24, 2017, in the chapel at Crestview Memorial Park from 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m. followed by her service with Joe Cullem, of Wichita Falls, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Aulds Funeral Home of Archer City.
Polly was born March 17, 1932 in Whitesboro, Texas to the late Ralph Coy and Denver Nevada Lewis Burba. She attended school at Whitesboro High School and was a member of the First Christian Church of Whitesboro.
Polly married in October 1949 and from this union, she had four children, Gregory, Connie, Jeffery and Celia. On September 9, 1971, she married E.H. "Pappy" Logan in Mineral Wells. He preceded her in death on September 22, 1992.
She had been employed in the retail business for many years and retired in 1974 when she moved to Archer City. In August 2007, Polly moved to Wichita Falls where she lived with her daughter, Celia.
Polly will be remembered for her kindness, generosity, giving personality, wonderful sense of humor and her ability to attract people to her.
Survivors include one son, Gregory Flowers and wife, Brenda of Ft. Wayne, Indiana; two daughters, Connie Autry of Ballwin, Missouri and Celia Stamps of Wichita Falls, Texas; four grandchildren, Justin Flowers, Heather Flowers, Deana McKelvie and Glenn Autry; five great-grandchildren, Alex, Julian, and Kai Flowers, Zoe and Veronica McKelvie; several nieces and nephews; and her special niece, Sherrill Murray of Omega, Oklahoma.
She was also preceded in death by one son, Jeffery Flowers; three brothers, Baird, R.C. and Sherrill Burba; one sister, Isabelle Copeland; and one son-in-law, Robert "Bob" Autry.
