Patricia died Janurary 5, 2017 at her residence in San Antonio.
She was born January 13, 1933 in Gainesville to Eddie (Jones) and Richard Frasher. She graduated from Gainesville High School in 1950 and from Baylor University in 1953. On July 9, 1954 she married Guy H. Winstead Jr. in Gainesville.
Because Guy was a pilot in the United States Air Force, Patricia spent the next 28 years of her life in service to our country as a military spouse. In addition to raising two daughters while moving every two-three years, Patricia kept the home fires burning during her husband's many temporary deployments, as well as during two longer tours in Vietnam. Throughout Guy's career, Patricia was a true partner in his success and an active member of the Air Force Officers Wives Club.
After retiring to Gainesville in 1982 with her husband, Patricia was involved in many community organizations including what is now the North Texas Medical Center Foundation Board, the Morton Museum, and Butterfield Stage Players. A prolific artist, Patricia also worked with local agencies and businesses to create commemorative artwork.
Patricia moved to San Antonio in July 2015 to be closer to her children.
