Sunday Sept 9, Ronnye Russell age 74 passed peacefully at TMC with his wife, Sandi, by his side. Born to Thelma Fay Bounds and Joseph Tipton Russell on Sept 20,1943 in Amhurst, Texas. He graduated from Muenster High School in 1962.
He is survived by his wife Sandi, sons Paul Russell and wife Suzanne and Jason Russell and wife Paisley. Daughters Pennye Salafia and spouse Mark Salafia, daughter Sharon Gray and her spouse Heath Gray, and Paula Moore and spouse Tommy Moore.
Step children that he considered to be his own: Bobby Ritchie and wife Lisa, Chris Ritchie and wife Michelle, Lisa Estes and spouse Gary Estes and Robin Abbe and spouse Chris Abbe.
He was blessed with 22 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. He also leaves behind four siblings and their spouses; Robert and Rita Russell, Phil and Roxy Russell, Debbie and Wayne Cler, Pam and Carl Barrows and Carol Hoover
Ronnye was preceded in death by his mother and father.
He worked at Peterbuit in Denton until he retired in 2010. In the following years he spent his time traveling with his wife, attending to his yard and entertaining his grandchildren.
The funeral service is scheduled for Saturday, September 15, at 11:00 am at North Park Baptist Church in Sherman. Tony Forehand, Ronnye's brother-in-law will officiate and Grandson Scott will accompany the song leader with his drums.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the North Park Baptist Church Building fund in memory of Ronnye.

My prayers are with Ronnye’s Family. Although I hadn’t seen him in years and years, I know he was a good and special person from when we were children. May God receive him into His Loving Arms.
