William A. Laster, Sr.
Funeral services for William A. Laster, Sr., 58, of Whitesboro, are set for 2:00 PM Thursday, May 4, 2017, at the Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Larry Eberhart officiating. Burial will follow in the Fairview Cemetery. A visitation will be held the hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Mr. Laster passed away April 29, 2017 at his home. He was born March 15, 1959 in Gainesville, to Archie Lafayette Laster, Jr. and Johnnie Frankie (West) Laster. He graduated from Gainesville High School in 1977 and was employed at Zodiac Seats (Weber) for almost 40 years.
William was always full of life and enjoyed spending time with family whenever possible. He was quick to lend a hand if there was a project to be done. You could often find him walking to Past & Blast with a cup of coffee in hand as William was an avid firearms enthusiast and a member of the NRA.
Mr. Laster is survived by his son William Allen Laster, Jr. of Whitesboro; son Christopher Adam Laster of Whitesboro; brother and sister-in-law Greg and Laurette Laster of Gainesville; brother and sister-in-law Mark and Margie Laster of Gainesville; daughter and son-in-law Leah and David Jeffries of Gainesville; many nieces and nephews.
William is preceded in death by his parents and his brother John Charles Laster.
