Mass of Christian Burial for Dorothy "Dottie" Katherine (Beyer) Swirczynski, age 87 of Muenster, is set for 10:00 a.m., Saturday, August 6, 2016 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
Rosary and vigil will be held at 6:00 p.m., Friday, August 5, 2016 at Scott Funeral Home in Muenster.
Mrs. Swirczynski died Tuesday, August 2, 2016.
Dottie was born September 9, 1928 in Lindsay, Texas to Adam and Mary (Loerwald) Beyer.
She graduated from Lindsay High School in May 1946 as the Valedictorian of her class. She attended Draughan Business College in Fort Worth, TX and worked as a clerk in Cooke County Courthouse. She also worked at Bayer's Kolonialwaren for many years as a clerk until her retirement.
Dottie married Richard Swirczynski on May 4, 1949 in St. Peter's Church in Lindsay. They were the proud parents of five children. Dottie was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and a lifelong member of the VFW Ladies' Auxiliary.
Dottie is survived by her daughters: Kathy and Clifford Sicking, Janet and Stan Endres, Joyce Kindiger, and Shirley and Jim Endres, all of Muenster; daughter-in-law, Jill Swirczynski of Muenster; nine grandchildren; twenty-two great-grandchildren; sister, Rosalie and husband, Raymond Sandmann of Lindsay; sisters-in-law: Dorothy Beyer of Lindsay and Bernice Beyer of Gainesville.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Swirczynski; son, Dale Swirczynski; grandson, Zach Swirczynski; sisters: Marie Sandmann and Gertie Luttmer; brothers: Tony, Robert, Edward, Andrew, Carl, Lambert, and Frank Beyer.
Pallbearers are: Ryan Sicking, Cody Sicking, Brent Sicking, Chad Endres, Brad Endres, Tara Swirczynski, and Hillary McEarchern.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Cooke County Home Hospice or the Sacred Heart Chapel Fund.
