Kathryn Rachel Morrell, 95, passed away July 6, 2016 at Pecan Tree Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center in Gainesville.
She was born to T.M. and Ruby (Kretzschmar) Clifton on September 15, 1920 in Sivells Bend, Texas.
She married John Morrell in 1942 in Yuma, Arizona. Mrs. Morrell was a long time member of the First United Pentecostal Church. She loved cooking, collecting recipes, gardening, and reading her bible. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, July 8th at Meador Funeral Home Chapel in Gainesville.
Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery with Rev. Floyd Flowers officiating. Rick Morrell, Brad Morrell, Ronnie Talley, Jared Talley, Zeb Baker, Eddie Dulock, Randel Beaver and David Beaver will serve as pallbearers.
A visitation was held at the funeral home Thursday evening from 6 to 8:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be sent to Cooke County Hospice.
Survivors include sons and daughters-in-law, Ronnie and Linda Morrell of Gainesville and Claude and Pat Morrell of Bells, Texas; brother, John Clifton of Gainesville; 8 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, son, Richard Monk Morrell; and three brothers, Ernest, Hollis and George Clifton.
