Rylen's Story

Text size

Rylen Darrell Lynch went to live and play with Jesus Christ on March 14, 2017 after five years of a beautiful earthly ministry where he touched thousands of lives and showed how anything is possible with the grace of God. His final days were spent with family and friends.
Rylen was born November 15, 2011, and while his life was short, his impact has been felt around the world. His million-dollar smile would light up any room, and he never met a stranger. Rylen's compassion was felt by many people and he never judged anyone. His child like faith is one we should all aspire for.
Rylen overcame the obstacle of Hydrocephalus despite all the odds. He did more, physically and mentally, than he was ever expected to do, and brought the light of Christ into the lives of every person he encountered. Our days with Rylen were a blessing, and he was and always will be a gift from God. Rylen loved attending church and school. He also enjoyed music, trains, cars, and trucks. He enjoyed riding in the golf cart, hanging out with his Pappy, swimming, and blowing bubbles.
With Rylen's passing we remind others that his life is one to be celebrated. Although we will miss him every single day, especially his winning smile, he will forever remain in our hearts. Through his infectious laugh and open personality we were able to create wonderful memories and it has been a privilege to be his parents. We are so thankful Rylen's sister, Aryanna, was able to meet and know her brother so she can hold dear the memory of Rylen's gentle spirit.
Rylen is survived by his loving parents, Reagan and Alicia Lynch of Gainesville, Texas; his sister Aryanna; grandparents Ronnie (Pappy) and Denise Lynch of Midland, Texas; Uncle Reese Lynch of Midland, Texas; great grandmothers Joyce Lynch, and Wanda Duncan; grandparents Frank and Beth Westcott of Oneonta, New York; aunt Heather Stone of Westfield, Massachusetts; uncle Clifford Westcott of Ipswich, Massachusetts and numerous other cousins, aunts, uncles, and adopted aunts, uncles, and grandparents.
The Family will host a visitation for family and friends on Monday, March 20 from 6 to 8 PM at Ellis Funeral Home. A celebration of Rylen's life will be held on Tuesday, March 21 at 11:00 am at Wilshire Park Baptist Church in Midland, Texas. Arrangements are under the direction of Ellis Funeral Home. Memorial services will be held later in Fort Worth, Texas and Oneonta, New York. Details will be announced on rylenlynch.com.
