With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Barbara Elaine Bryant on March 11, 2025, in Tacoma, WA. She was 72 years old.

Born on April 25, 1952, Barbara was the beloved daughter of Bob and Elizabeth Hughes, who preceded her in death. She is survived by her brothers, David Hughes and John Hughes, her daughters, Amy Stewart and husband Chris, and Amber Innerarity and husband Matt, and her three cherished grandchildren, Shane, Elizabeth, and Calleigh Stewart. She also leaves behind many cousins, nieces and nephews, dear friends, and beloved family fur babies, all of whom she adored.

Barbara's life was centered around family. Having been retired for over a decade, she devoted her time to those she loved, always present as a listening ear, a guiding hand, and an unwavering source of love and encouragement. She proudly played the role of "biggest fan," never missing an opportunity to support and spoil her children and grandchildren. A woman of many passions, Barbara loved music, making jewelry, and knitting. She was also a writer, having authored a book dedicated to her grandchildren.

Her faith was a cornerstone of her life—she walked alongside the Lord and worshipped with a full heart. She had a sharp wit and a sense of humor that could brighten any room. A fierce competitor, she loved family game nights and never passed up the chance for a friendly challenge.

Barbara's passing was sudden and tragic, the result of a ruptured brain aneurysm. She will be laid to rest in Arizona, the place she loved most. While she is no longer physically with us, her love, laughter, and wisdom will remain in our hearts forever.

A celebration of her life will be planned at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family encourages acts of kindness in her memory—whether it be a game night with loved ones, a song sung with joy, or a simple moment spent cherishing family.
