Billie  Dennis
Billie Jean Dennis, 91, of Richardson, Texas, formerly of Gainesville, passed away Jan. 17, 2020, in Richardson. Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 21, 2020, at Meador Funeral Home Chapel in Gainesville with Dr. Benny Slack officiating. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Gainesville. A time of visitation will be held for friends and family from 6-7 p.m. Monday, Jan. 20, at the funeral home.
Billie was born Aug. 6, 1927 in Hardy, Texas. Billie married Dale Dennis on July 17, 1948. Billie worked as a Senior Teller/Cashier for First State Bank for many years. Billie loved her family very much and she cared for them as well as everybody she met. She never met a stranger and loved getting to know people. Billie loved to travel; she was a fabulous cook. Billie loved to cross-stitch and crotchet. She loved to spend time playing 42 with her friends from the Stanford House. She was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church in Gainesville.
Billie is survived by her son Bobby Dennis and his wife Brooke of Austin; grandson Austin Dennis of Austin; and great-grandson Andy Dennis of Austin; as well as many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Dale Dennis and all of her eight brothers and sisters.
