Billy Joe Roberds, 80, of Gordonville, Texas was called to his eternal home on Monday, March 25, 2024.
Billy was born on August 13, 1943 in Cooper, Texas to Alfred and Mame (Parker) Roberds. He was a graduate of Lancaster ISD. Billy was the owner and operator of Texoma Tires for over 20 years. He enjoyed fishing, watching wrestling and old westerns, as well as talking to people on Facebook.
He is survived by his son, Billy D. Roberds of Whitesboro; daughter, Donna Gay Edington of Muenster; daughter, Tammy Flores and husband, Jose of Gordonville; daughter, Melissa Kay Eldon of Collinsville; daughter, Rhonda Johnson of Midlothian; grandchildren, Jeff, Anthony, Cody, Christopher, Dustin, Carl, Cynthia, Josh, Jackie, Josey, Mary, Dora, Devon, and Logan, 24 great- grandchildren. 2 great-great grandchildren, sisters, Pat Kelley, and Mary Sue Ransopher, and brother, Bobby Roberds, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Billy was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred and Mamie Roberds, brothers, Richard, Roy and John Wayne Roberds, and wife, Lonna Eldon.
Pallbearers will be his grandsons.
Funeral services honoring Billy will be held at 2 PM on Monday, April 1, 2024 at Meador Funeral Home of Whitesboro, officiated by Bro. Jerald Lee. Interment will follow at Mt. Tabor cemetery in Sandusky. There will be a time of visitation for family and friends on Sunday, March 31, 2024 from 6-8 PM at the funeral home.
