Cecile Denise Hamman Moore, 62, passed away at home in Saint Jo, Tx., on Wednesday, October 28, 2023. She was born in Lawton, OK., on August 19, 1961, to Arlie and Doris Hamman.

Cecile was a housewife for many years and was taking care of the home when she passed. She was a city girl, that turned country after we met on October 7, 1989. She loved camping, fishing, four-wheeling, lawn work, splitting firewood, hot chocolate, morning coffee, taking pictures, and a million other things, especially cooking. No one would ever go away hungry if Cecile was there.

She was a rare combination of steel and velvet, unbending in her faith in God, Jesus, the Holy Spirit, and what was right, but also so kind, tender, and nurturing, even leaving the porch light on at night to make sure the spider next to it caught some bugs.

Cecile and Don had 34 years together since Don was nineteen years old. They did everything together, even after thirty-four years, they still fell asleep holding hands. She is tremendously missed, but we will hold hands together again someday.

Cecile is survived by her husband, Don Moore, mother-in-law, Carol Moore, aunt-in-law, Helen Brooks, and several nieces and nephews, and cousins.

Funeral services were held at DeBerry Funeral Directors, on Wednesday, October 25, 2023, at 11:00 AM. Cecile was laid to rest at Greenwood Cemetery in Wise County, Texas.
