Sherman, TX - Donna Jean Flowers died on June 7th, 2024 in Sherman, Texas due to natural causes. She was a loving daughter, sister, and aunt. She was born in Sherman, Texas on June 15th, 1948 to Warren and Quade Flowers. She grew up in Gainesville, Texas and graduated from Gainesville High School. After graduation, she attended Texas Woman's University in Denton and received a Bachelor of Science in Speech and Hearing Therapy. Some years later she received her Master of Arts in Speech-Language Pathology from Texas Woman's University.

Donna dedicated her life to the speech and hearing field and began working at the Grayson County Rehabilitation Center for Adults and Children in 1986 and later worked at the The Rehabilitation Center in Sherman. She loved working with the hearing impaired of all ages to meet their needs.

She is preceded in death by her parents Warren Flowers (former publisher of the Gainesville Daily Register) and Quade Little Flowers, sister Janice Flowers Harris, and nephews Adam Flowers and Isaac Flowers. She is survived by her brother Max Flowers, her nephews Caleb Harris, Nathan Harris, Aaron Flowers, and Brandon Flowers as well as her only niece, Jama Harris Britton.

Her ashes are interred at the Fairview Cemetery where her parents are buried. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory can be made to UT Dallas Callier Center for Communication Disorders.
