Donna Jean Jafferi King
Donna "Bangi" Jean Jafferi King went home to be with her Lord on Friday, March 20, 2020. She was held by her family as she departed for the glories of Heaven.
Donna was born in Matador, Texas on June 24, 1951, to Dee and Oleta McAfee. She graduated from Gainesville High School in 1970, then continued her education at Cooke County Junior College, where she completed cosmetology school. Donna worked at Tom Thumb for 18 years and gained a family that she loved dearly. She married Chuck King on December 27, 1991.
Donna King was truly a gift to all who knew her. She was kind-hearted and sweet natured to everyone she met. She prioritized her faith, family, and friends. She also enjoyed creating a beautiful home for her family and summer vacations on the beach. She handled her declining health with strength and dignity. She looked forward to the college graduations of her son, Tyrel and her two granddaughters, Macy and Mya, but the Lord, her savior, had other plans and called her home early.
Most of all, Bangi loved her family, especially her grandchildren Macy, Mya, Justin, Chandler, and Xander. She was fortunate enough to have known her great-granddaughter, Lyric. She is survived by her husband, Chuck King, her daughter and her son-in-law, Tiffany and Donnie Stradley, her sons, Tyrel King and Lucas King, and her daughter, Tylo King. Donna was also survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Bobbie and Don Splawn, and her brother, Rusty McAfee. She is preceded in death by her parents, Dee and Oleta McAfee, and her brother, Roy McAfee. She was survived by many nieces and nephews.
Due to the current CDC restrictions, the funeral will be a private family service; however, there will be arrangements to view the service online via Real Life Church. Plans for service are pending.
