Glenn Lewis Loch, 89, of Gainesville, Texas, passed away peacefully on June 2, 2025.
Born on February 28, 1936 to George Henry and Josephine Bogan Loch, Glenn dedicated his life to service, community and most of all to his family. A devoted husband to Helen Loch, his beloved wife, a proud father to Mike Loch and Jeff Loch and a loving father-in-law to Gayle Loch and Nancy Loch. Glenn built a legacy rooted in love, integrity and leadership.
A successful businessman and deeply committed civic leader, Glenn served as the Mayor of Gainesville, Texas for 16 years. His vision, perseverance and unwavering dedication had a huge impact on the city. Through every decision and every challenge, he always put the people of Gainesville first.
Glenn's greatest joy came from being surrounded by his family. He was a cherished grandfather to Lynzee Harrison, Hunter Loch, Taylor Luna, Andrew Loch, Steven Loch, and Daniel Loch. His grandchildren and their families were the light of his life.
He will be remembered for his strength of character, his humble leadership and the kindness he extended to everyone he met. Glenn's legacy lives on through the lives he touched, the city he served and the family he adored.
Glenn was preceded in death by his parents, George H. and Josephine Loch, his brother, George S. Loch and his sister, Barbara Head.
Mr. Loch was laid to rest at Fairview Cemetery, Gainesville, following private services. A Celebration of Life is pending for a date in the near future. Memorial contributions may be made to Whaley United Methodist Church of Gainesville or Muenster Memorial Hospital Rehabilitation Center. Arrangements have been entrusted to Geo. J.
