Gainesville - James Sidney Sandlin, known by his friends as Ghost, passed away April 6, 2026.

James was born February 12, 1960 in Hobbs, NM. He was an electrician by trade and worked in the community for over 20 years. James enjoyed being outdoors, especially hunting, and was a skilled woodworker. He will be missed by the many people that loved him.

Predeceased by: parents David W. and Barbara A. (Hitt) Sandlin; and several aunts and uncles.

Survived by: sister Kathy Golden and husband Robert of Gainesville; niece Samatha Golden and husband David; two uncles; several cousins; and best friend Toni Romine.

A memorial service is scheduled for Saturday, April 25, 2026, beginning at 11:00 a.m., at Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home.
