Marietta - Jessica Doris Tipton, 43-year-old Marietta, OK resident, passed away Sunday, October 26, 2025, while surrounded by her loving family at the Mercy Hospital in Ardmore, OK. Graveside funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, November 1, 2025, in the Lakeview Cemetery in Marietta with Zack King officiating and Earl White assisting. Visitation will be held on Friday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Flanagan-Watts Funeral Home Chapel in Marietta.

Jessica began this life on March 23, 1982, in Gainesville, TX, the daughter of Jimmie and Linda (Melius) Muller. She grew up and attended schools in Era, TX where she graduated with the Class of 2000. Jessica then entered nursing school. After getting her LPN license, she began working in Gainesville. She was a hard worker who never settled for average. Thus, she went on and furthered her career by getting her RN license while working at the Mercy Rehabilitation Center in Ardmore. Jessica most recently received her master's degree and FNP-C in 2024 and was scheduled to begin working with the Mercy Clinic in Ardmore in July.

Nursing was the perfect occupation for Jessica because of her warm and caring heart. She always put other's needs before her own and was more than happy to pass along her knowledge or advice to others working in the field. She was credited for training several nurses over the years while working with Mercy and probably even provided some helpful suggestions to doctors along the way.

Jessica met Jason Tipton at a gas pump in Thackerville, OK and it was love at first sight. She had a smile that lit up the sky that day. The two shared a love for the outdoors. So much so, that on May 28, 2016, they were married at a ceremony held at a campground on the river near Lebanon, OK. Over the following years they spent a great deal of time camping and going to dirt track races. They even gained public notoriety for their dancing skills when they won the dancing contest at Frontier Days.

Jessica was an early bird. She was always out the door early with a list of things to do in one hand and a cup from Starbucks in the other. She loved working, but when she had some spare time, you might catch her shopping for shoes or something that the kids needed, or maybe pampering herself with a nail or lash appointment. Holidays were a very special time for her. Jessica absolutely loved cooking for family and friends during the holidays. And no Christmas was ever complete without the matching family pajamas that she purchased every year. Jessica loved deeply and cared passionately about her family and friends.

Jessica was preceded in death by her father, Jimmie Muller; grandmother, Josephine (Martinez) Melius; and a nephew, Dakota Lamkin. Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Jason; children, Vanessa Rodriguez of Oklahoma City, OK and Rhett Tipton of the home; mother, Linda Muller; sisters, Carol Lamkin and husband Eddie of Gainesville, TX and Becky Davis and husband Sean of Gainesville; mother-in-law, Pat Knock of Marietta; grandfather, Allen "Pappy" Melius of Chambersburg, PA; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Casket bearers are Michael Dominguez, Jeff Lang, Jeff Langston, Jeremy Westfall, Willy Kirkpatrick, Robert Sprouse, Tony Rodriguez, and Chad Hogue. Honorary bearers are her co-workers from Mercy Hospital and Rehabilitation Services in Ardmore.
