John Hocker, a beloved grandfather, brother, and father of two children in heaven, passed away peacefully on October 17th, 2024.
A long-time resident of Gainesville, TX, John was known for his kindness, resilience, and deep love for his family. In the past year, John experienced a heartfelt reconnection with his surviving granddaughters, Ashley Burkhardt and Lauren Chapman. This renewed bond, along with the joy of spending time with his great-grandchildren, Cayson and Chandler Chapman, brought new light into his life and changed theirs forever. His love, wisdom, and presence have left an indelible mark on their hearts. John's strength and compassion shaped the lives of those who knew him, and his contributions to the Gainesville community will not be forgotten.
A service to honor John's life will be held at later date. Where friends and family will be invited to come together to celebrate the legacy of love and connection he leaves behind. May he rest in peace.
