Johnnie n. (Owen) Ragsdale Obituary

Funeral services for Johnnie N. (Owen) Ragsdale, 93, will be held on Friday, October 6, 2017 at 2:00 P.M. at Meador Funeral Home Chapel in Whitesboro, TX with Rev. Adam Spore officiating. Interment will follow at Oakwood Cemetery in Whitesboro. Visitation will begin at 12:30 P.M prior to service.

Johnnie passed away on Monday, October 2, 2017 at the Homestead of Sherman.

Johnnie was born on November 10, 1923 in Dexter, Texas to John W. and Nannie (Maude) Owen. She married Ben C. Ragsdale on December 12, 1947 in Sherman, Texas. Johnnie was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Whitesboro and was a very active worker in the church. She was a very involved mother and grandmother in her families lives. She loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren greatly. Johnnie was well liked by all who knew her.

Survivors include a son, Donald G. Ragsdale of Whitesboro; daughter, Beverly A. Pierce of Cookeville, TN; grandchildren, Jaclyn M. Pierce-Cauthorne and husband, Tyler of Cookeville, TN; great-grandchildren, Jaxon and Ava Cauthorne.

Johnnie was preceded in death by her parents, John and Nannie Owen and husband, Ben C. Ragsdale.
