Karon Mae (Sipp) Canull, 77, passed away peacefully at her home on October 10, 2017 at Lake Kiowa, Texas. Karon Mae was born on September 15, 1940 in Urbana, Illinois to Frederic and Cathryn (Moore) Sipp. She worked for the Central Intelligence Agency in 1958 as a secretary to President Eisenhower. Karon married Robert Lee Canull on November 21, 1959. They had two beautiful children, Tracie Colwell Steed of Gainesville, TX and Jodie Canull Trolinder of Lake Kiowa, Texas. Karon had three grandchildren, Jonathan Colwell of Gainesville, TX, Matthew Colwell of Gordonville, TX and Jessica Steed of Gainesville, TX and one great-grandchild on the way.
Karon and Robert moved to Lake Kiowa in 1989 to live out their retirement years to enjoy fishing and golf. Karon was very active in the fire auxiliary and loved to play pinochle and dominos.
Karon was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Lee Canull and both parents, Frederic and Cathryn Sipp.
