Molly Lou Terry, 91, passed away on October 10, 2019, at a Garland, Texas nursing home.
She was born April 28, 1928, in Gainesville, Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents, David Leroy and Eva Stacks Blake; four brothers ... Sam m. Ila Mae, Sidney m. Kathy, Walter Ray Scott "Babe" m. Nikki, Clyde m. Dorothy; and four sisters ... Mildred m. Huffman, Tena m. Bell, Eva Lee m. Dulock, Bertha m, Wallis. Molly Lou was the youngest in the family. She was also close to her in-laws. On the Blake side, all are deceased except for Kathy (m. Sid) who lives in California. On the Terry side, she lost two brothers-in- law ... Ralph m. Dorothy, Billy Dale m. Wanda; all deceased; two sisters-in-law are still living ... Clista m. Charles Robeson and lives in Kennedale, and Reba m. Charles Boaz and she lives in Fort Pierce Florida.
Throughout her life, Molly Lou was proud of her Daddy's Blake Plumbing, passed down to Sam his son grandson Gene, and great-grandson Mike. The business was closed after 109 years of service to the Gainesville community.
Molly Lou graduated from Gainesville High School in 1945. Her first job was collecting nickels from movie-goers at the downtown Gainesville theater. She moved to Dallas to work at the moccasin factory for a while. It was soon after that Milton "Wayne" Terry stole her heart. They were married June 5, 1947, at Whaley Memorial Methodist Church in Gainesville.
Donna Dae was born in 1948 in Gainesville, m. Clem Malone. David Wayne was born in 1952 in Gainesville, m. Sally Duckworth then Melissa Kelly. Denise Jeanette was born in 1959 in Waco, m. Richard Ellis.
Molly Lou cared for the family and supported Wayne throughout his 9 assignments as a Montgomery Ward store manager on their life's journey from Gainesville to Tyler where Molly Lou retired from East Texas Medical Center and Wayne from Montgomery Ward.
Molly Lou and Wayne suffered the loss of their firstborn, Donna Dae Malone, on May 18, 1997. Her beloved Wayne "Poodle" died on March 7, 2008, with Molly Lou sitting by his side singing songs from their wedding.
She is survived by two children, David Wayne (Melissa) of Denton, Texas, and Denise Jeanette (Richard Ellis) of Abilene Texas ... seven grandchildren, Amy Malone Crowell (Blake), Jon Malone (Carrie), Kimberly Malone Hardaway (Kyle), Rachael Bower (Eric), Wesley Terry (Renea), Savanna Terry, Jason Kelly, and thirteen great-grandchildren. She also cared for her nieces and nephews, many who are still living while some have come and gone.
Molly Lou will rest in Gainesville's Fairview Cemetery Sunday Oct 13, 2019 at 2:30 pm next to her husband of 61 years and where others from her family lineage are close by, including her grandparents, "Uncle Sam" and "Aunt Molly, "who she was named after.

Sorry to hear of the passing of Molly Lou. While Molly Lou lived in Tyler, I was living at Holly Lake Ranch in East, TX also & kept in touch with her for several yrs. I moved back to the Metroplex shortly after she left Tyler. Thinking of family & keeping in prayers at this time.
