Gainesville, Texas - Norma Arlene Harper, a beloved mother, grandmother, and faithful member of her church, passed away peacefully on August 21, 2025, just a few months shy of her 93rd birthday. She was born on October 29, 1932 in Union Grove Township, Paynesville, MN.


Norma's life was a testament to her love of music, family, and faith. She found joy in her hobbies, which included music, theater, and reading. A gifted musician, Norma shared her talents by playing the piano and organ for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Her favorite calling was playing the piano for the church services and the Primary (children's) organization, where she brought happiness to generations of children.


She is survived by her loving children, Debra, David, Laura, and Steven, as well as her grandchildren. Norma was preceded in death by her cherished children, Janet and Kevin, and her grandchildren, Ashley, Brittany, Merrick, and Chris, all of whom she now joins.


A memorial service will be held to celebrate Norma's life on Saturday, September 20, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints located at 1503 California St. in Gainesville.
