Patsy Sinclair Walker dedicated her lifetime to serving others. Always putting others before herself. She blessed her children with the opportunity to surround her as she peacefully left this life to joyfully reunite with her parents, brother and her savior Jesus Christ in heaven on June 1, 2023.
Pat was born on December 31, 1948 to WL (Mutt) and Belle (Cox) Sinclair in Whitesboro, Texas. On April 18, 1969 she married Bob Walker. During their 54 years together, they led by example to their three children as to what a Godly marriage was.
Raising children was something she always wanted. She would go on to be the absolute best mother to us 3. She taught each of us to be loving, caring and put others first. To us our mom was a saint on this earth. There simply are not enough words to describe what she meant to us as a family and the magnitude with which she will be missed.
She started her career in nursing at Collinsville Care Home then went on to work at Center for Family Medicine from the time they opened to the day she retired. As kids, we always felt our mother to be a sort of rock star as she would be recognized and stopped wherever in Sherman we went as "my favorite nurse". When my sister and I started our nursing career and patients found out who's children we were, we inevitably heard how Pat was the best nurse they ever knew.
Mom attended Tioga Grade School, Collinsville High School, Grayson County College and Cooke County College. She was a member of Temple Baptist Church and the Berean Sunday School Class. She loved her classmates and her church family. Her Grandchildren and Great Grandchild were responsible for some of the greatest sources of joy in her life. Each one held a special place and she loved them unconditionally, without reservation. She taught us all to love and love well.
Pat was preceded in death by her father, WL (Mutt) Sinclair; mother, Belle (Cox) Sinclair; brother, Leroy Sinclair.
She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Bob Walker Sr., daughters Karen Byler, Kelly Gannon and husband Kent, son Bobby Walker Jr. and wife Stephany. Grandchildren Maeghan Gannon, Keegan Byler, Tristen Gannon, Bryce Gannon, Gabby Walker, Kody Byler, Marley Dunlap, Cooper Walker, Drew Walker and great grandchild Brennan Gleeson. Brother Ted Sinclair, Sisters Donna Carney and husband Grady, Johnette Mitchell and husband Steve. Sister in laws Ala Brownlee and Kathy Sinclair. Brother in law Jackie Walker and wife Louise. Treasured nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.
Funeral arrangements as per her wishes will be led by cherished friend Roy Duff and are under the direction of Meador Funeral Home Whitesboro, Texas and a memorial service will be held Saturday June 10, 2023 at 10 am. A private family graveside service will follow.
Honorary Pallbearers: Tom Cox, TL Cox, Cameron Johnston, Gene Cox, Patrick Cox, Tim Brown, James Rice and Eddie Sinclair.
