Gordonville - Paul Lane Hawkins, 97, of Gordonville, Texas, was called to his heavenly home on Wednesday, December 24, 2025.

Paul was born on November 16, 1928 in Greer County, Oklahoma to Murray and Lura Hawkins. He graduated from high school in Midway, Oklahoma and attended college in Altus, Oklahoma. He served in the United States Air National Guard. On April 26, 2005 in married Helen Hughes in Sherman, Texas. Paul enjoyed farming, driving his tractor, feeding cows, having coffee with his friends and his love of the Lord. His greatest blessing in life was the love of his family.

He is survived by his wife, Helen Hawkins of Gordonville; daughters, Connie McConiell, Vickie Hill, and Beverly Newberry, stepchildren, Billy Hughes, Michael Hughes, Rebecca Williams, and Mary Lawson, eight grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren, brother, George Hawkins, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Paul was preceded in death by his parents, Murray and Lura Hawkins, sister, Ruth, brother, Houston, stepdaughter, Debra Huges, grandson, Jimmy Williams and great-grandchild, Sky Davis.

A memorial service honoring Paul will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, January 3, 2026 at Sandy Springs Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Sandusky.
