Rhonda Dee Jones (65) of Gainesville, TX passed peacefully in her home on January 26, 2025. She fought her battle against cancer until the very end and entered heaven surrounded by those who loved and cared for her!

Rhonda was born June 13, 1959 in Wichita Falls, TX to Lloyd and Wanda Ashlock. From the age of 16, Rhonda dreamed of becoming a mother. Her dreams became a reality on June 27, 1997 when Rhonda married Michael Jones and his four children. Rhonda had many hobbies including: quilting, fishing, cooking, gardening, and woodworking! She was the proud owner of Ladybug Lawn Care. One of Rhonda's biggest accomplishments was graduating with her GED at the age of 59. She wanted to show her grandchildren that you could do anything you set your mind too and she did just that.

Rhonda is survived by husband Michael Jones and their four children: James (Shellie) Jones, Kerrie (Shane) Anderson, Ashley (Mike) Robertson, and Leslie (Kenneth) Scoggin. She leaves legacy behind in all 11 of her grandchildren: Joseph (zhanel), Troy (Marilese), Madison (John), Zachary, Sydneigh, Brintson, Aspen, Bailey, Xander, Zane, and Cerin and her great grandchildren: Evangeline, Sabira, Justin, Nora, and one on the way! She also leaves behind her best friend and sister Jessie McClure and numerous siblings, nieces, and nephews!

Rhonda was met at the gates of heaven by many people that she loved including her mom and dad, son Alvis, grandson Wyatt , and two nephews: Shorty and Justin Ashlock.

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of North Central Texas cremation and a celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
