Gainesville - Rita Mary Rose Burgett, 74, of Gainesville, passed away on May 10, 2026, in Pilot Point, Texas. She was born on November 22, 1951, in Gainesville to Paul W. Hellinger, Sr. and Marcella Margaret (Knabe) Hellinger.
She worked for the Texas Tourist Bureau for almost 6 years.
Rita is survived by her daughter, Crystal Wanamaker and her husband, Terry, of Gainesville; one brother, Herman Hellinger of Gainesville; four grandchildren, Jordan of Gainesville, Zachary of Freemont, Nebraska, Suede of Gainesville, and Diesel of Gainesville; one great-grandchild, Gray Wanamaker; and many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Mary Burgett; two sisters, Monica Theobold and Rosina Kubis; and two brothers, Paul Hellinger, Jr., and Mark Hellinger.
