Gainesville - After a brief battle with CJD, Ronnie Bayer passed peacefully at home on June 2, 2026 surrounded by family. Ronnie Bayer was born January 20, 1969 to parents Regi Bayer and Patsy Streng Bayer. He attended Muenster Public School, graduating in 1988. He spent 34 years employed by Cooke County Electric, now Pentex Electric. He spent his spare time farming the family farmland alongside his dad. He was also involved in many volunteer activities such as being a valued member of the Myra Fire Department, ACTS Retreats and Muenster Knights of Columbus.

He is survived by his wife Kristie Schroeder Bayer, parents Regi and Patsy Bayer, stepchildren Cade Early and fiancé Laura Chavis, Erin Early and husband Jeramey Garcia, and granddaughter Logan Danley. His sister Connie McAden and husband Jeff, sister Kim Hess and husband Rudy, brother Chad Bayer and wife Lauren, numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.

He was preceded in death by his sister Kristi Bayer, brother little Regi, niece McKinley Hess, grandparents Frank and Romana Bayer and John and Sophie Mae Streng.

Rosary will be held Thursday, June 11 at George J. Carroll Funeral Home at 5:30 p.m. with visitation to follow until 7:30 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, June 12 in St. Peter's Church in Lindsay at 10:00 a.m. A committal service will follow at St. Peter's Cemetery.
