Scott Eric Johnson, 62, of Gainesville, Texas was called to his eternal home on Monday, September 2, 2024.
Scott was born on May 16, 1962 in Conneaut, Ohio to Clarence and Kenna (Mook) Johnson. He was a graduate of North Ridgeville High School in Ohio and received his master's degree from Embry Riddle Aeronautical University. He married Dion Klausmann on July 1, 1990 in Altus Oklahoma. Scott worked for L3 Communications Vertex Aerospace as an aircraft maintenance instructor. He enjoyed aircrafts of all types, watching the Cleveland Browns play football and Nascar, he cherished the time spent with his family.
He is survived by his wife, Dion Johnson of Gainesville; daughter, Misty McGregor of Blair, OK; son, Scott Eric Johnson II of Gainesville; daughter, Stormi Wolfe and husband, Justin of Fairbanks, AK; grandchildren, Hunter Williams, Hope Williams, Duke McGregor, and Swayze Wolfe, brother, Ted Johnson and wife, Kim, sister, Jodi Halagan and husband, Bob, brother, Mike Johnson and wife, Dawn, mother, Kenna Carty and husband, Greg, and in-laws, Tom and Brenda Sawin, Lonnie Klausmann, Michael & Brenda Klausmann, and Becky Bozewicz, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Scott was preceded in death by his father, Clarence Johnson.
Graveside services honoring Scott will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, September 11, 2024 at the DFW National Cemetery, officiated by Bro. Lyndel Lee. No formal visitation is scheduled.
