Staci Lynne Morrison was born on June 3, 1975, in Denton, TX to Marion Bill and Susan (Gillum) Morrison of Flower Mound, TX.
She spent her early years in Lubbock, TX prior to moving to Des Moines, IA where she started grade school and proudly graduated from Johnston High School. She then moved back to Texas, becoming a licensed real estate agent working in the Dallas area while earning an Associate's Degree from Tarrant County College. This led to work in the home relocation business and her current employment with Acme Automotive Relocation while living at her home in Bedford, TX.
Although much of her life was based in Texas, Staci always considered Des Moines her home and loved the Des Moines /Johnston area very much. Life's journey also led her through Minnesota and Tennessee over the years.
Staci had a tremendous love for God, Family, and Friends. No matter the circumstances, Staci was always there for family and friends genuinely wanting to make a difference in everyone's life without asking for anything in return. She cared deeply for others.
She was strong willed and tough as nails battling Juvenile Diabetes and severe migraine headaches since she was 14. Not only did she fight for herself, but most anyone and any cause she decided to take up. One of her dreams was to give back to young patients who could benefit from her diabetic experiences.
She enjoyed the basic parts that life had to offer such as weekend drives, spending time with those around her, Halloween haunted houses, World of Outlaw and drag racing, going to the movies - most recently Top Gun Maverick, going to the lake, listening to her favorite rock music and going out to eat for dinner and a talk. She also loved spending time with her beloved dog, Bindi Sue.
Staci was a hard worker and despite many of life's challenges she got up early every day, put in a good day's work, was dependable, reliable, had pride in her work and doing things right - again focusing on making a difference.
She made an incredible impact on those around her and will be deeply missed by many.
Staci is survived by her parents Susan and Bill, brother Josh and sister-in-law Haley, aunts and uncles Jimmy Gillum, Linda and Dan Schafer, Janie and Jerry Neighbors, Linda and John Christensen, Ann and Steve Martin, and numerous cousins. She was preceded in death by grandparents Pete and Louise Gillum and Milton and Katy Morrison.
A graveside service was scheduled for 10:00 am Friday, July 8, 2022, at the Valley View Cemetery in Valley View, Texas.
