Steven Dan Zimmerer

Steven Dan Zimmerer, born on January 22, 1976, in Sherman, Texas, passed away on April 10, 2025, in Los Angeles, California.
Raised in Lindsay, Texas, Dan was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church, where he served as an altar server during his youth. A proud graduate of Lindsay High School, he excelled in athletics, particularly in football and track, and participated in the agriculture program.
Dan furthered his education at North Central Texas College and Texas Tech University, ultimately earning a Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice from the University of North Texas. This academic achievement led him to a career as a probation officer for the State of Texas. Dan lived for several years in California where he continued his interest in operating radio-controlled aircraft, often sharing this joy with his family. He will be fondly remembered as a loving and gentle soul.
Dan is survived by his son, Rome Zimmerer, and daughter, Rose Zimmerer, both of Huntington Beach, California; his parents, Larry and Elaine Zimmerer of Lindsay; his brother, Isaac Zimmerer, and wife Morgan of Fort Worth; his sister, Ashley Zimmerer of Coppell; his beloved nieces and nephews: Emily, Sarah, Adelyn, Anna, Hudson, and Charlie; and the mother of his children, Nguyen, of California.
Dan was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Henry and Frances Zimmerer; maternal grandparents, Ray and Mabel Sicking; and maternal grandparents, Dorothy and R.L. Smith.
A Rosary will take place on Thursday, May 22, 2025, at 9:30 AM, followed by a Mass at 10:00 AM, both held at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Lindsay, Texas. A committal service will follow at St. Peter's Cemetery.
