Tommy Paul Harvell Obituary

Tommy Paul Harvell, 86, of Whitesboro, Texas was called to his eternal home on Sunday, October 6, 2024.

Paul was born on April 18, 1938 in Clyde, Texas to Bill and Ethel (Ham) Harvell. Shortly after high school Paul was hired as a radio operator for Texas Department of Public Safety. He rose through the ranks up to Regional Communication Supervisor and retired after 38 years of service. He married Leta Sue Greer on September 16, 1960 and they just celebrated their 64th wedding anniversary. He was a loving family man who cherished his time with them.

He is survived by his wife, Leta Harvell of Whitesboro; son, Jerry Paul Harvell and wife, Susan of Odessa; grandson, Christpher Paul Harvell and wife, Crystal of Gilbert, AZ; great-grandsons, Grey and Elliott, brother, Bobby Harvell of Duluth, MN; as well as numerous other loving family and friends.

Paul was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Ethel Harvell, daughter, Brenda Kay Harvell, brothers, Billy Harvell and Truman Harvell, and sister, Claudine Cross.

Funeral services honoring Paul will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, October 10, 2024 at Legacy Pointe Baptist Church, officiated by Rev. Joe Patterson. Interment will follow at Mt. Tabor Cemetery in Sandusky. There will be a time of visitation for family and friends beginning at 1:00 PM on Thursday, October 10th at the church.
