Virginia Aday Obituary

Virginia Grace Lovejoy Aday, 87, passed away Monday, October 18th, 2021, at Wilson N. Jones Hospital following a short illness. Family visitation will be held Friday October 29th, 2021, at 6-8pm at Meador Funeral Home in Whitesboro, TX. Funeral services will be held Saturday October 30th, 2021, at 10 am at First Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery in Whitesboro TX. Brother Mike Flanagan and Rick Carney will officiate.

Virginia was born October 14, 1934, on Bones Chapel Road in Whitesboro, Texas to George Alexander "Alec" and Grace Cason Lovejoy. She was married to Donald E. Dutton, on January 3rd, 1953, in Cook County Texas. Virginia had previously worked for a phone company, and as an Inhalation Therapist for Slidell Memorial Hospital in Slidell, Louisiana. She retired following 25 years as a Banker with Wells Fargo in Denton Texas. Virginia was a member of First Baptist Church in Whitesboro, TX. She enjoyed her Sunday School Class and frequent gatherings with them. Above all Virginia loved her family and caring and cooking for them.

Virginia is survived by her loving family, Brother, Billy Frank and Rita Mae Lovejoy of Whitesboro, daughters, Laurie L. and Charles Hillard, Sharon, and Pat Autry, and Lesa and John Adams. Sons, Donald Rex Dutton, and wife, Conni; son, Darrin D. Dutton, and wife, Diane; son, Ronald Lance Dutton, and wife, Carolyn; son, Joseph Ray Melugin, and wife, Dee Ann. Stepdaughters, Kay Taylor of Denton, Tx, and Marie and Don Woolsey of Bowie Tx. Grandchildren, Brenon Rex Dutton, and Alexis, Brystal Narte and husband Elijah, Malorie Suzanne Davis and husband Dr. Robert L. Davis, Jerad Michael D. Dutton, Aaron A. Bradford, Tyler Lance and Devyani Dutton, Taryn E. Melugin, Tanner R. Melugin, Scott Taylor, Callie Taylor Exler, and Robert Taylor, and wife. Great-Grand Children - Devaney Grace Dutton, Blakely Kai Dutton, Michael Cordova, Asher Narte, Aubrey Narte, Haevyn Elaine Davis, and Robert Hatter Davis. Numerous nieces and nephews - her own and those she adopted in life.

She was proceeded in death by her husbands, Donald E. Dutton, Joseph J. Melugin, and Calvin L. Aday; Aunt, Edith L. Aycock and husband, Curtis, and nephew, Billy Chris Lovejoy.

Virginia loved you all and prayed for you daily.
