Yvonne  Kozaczka


Yvonne G. Kozaczka, wife of the late Colonel Felix Kozaczka, USAF (Retired), beloved mother and "Grammy", died peacefully on August 16, at Willow Bend Assisted Living Center in Denton, Texas.
She was born to the late Joseph and Philomene (Beaulieu) Goulet in New Bedford, Massachusetts on January 1, 1923, and won the New Year Baby Award given by the New Bedford Standard Times. She graduated New Bedford High School and after the war married Army Air Corps Captain Felix Kozaczka. They were a happy traveling couple and journeyed throughout the world. They lived all over the United States and spent time in Japan, France and Germany, finally settling down at Lake Kiowa, Texas.
They have five daughters that survive them, Louise, Jeanne, Therese, Marie and Michelle. Their family includes eleven grandchildren and sixteen greatgrandchildren in addition to sons in law along with many nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Kozaczka is also survived by a sister Bernadette Muldoon and a brother Armand Goulet. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, a grandson, three brothers and seven sisters.
A devout Roman Catholic all her life, she will have a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at Saint Mary's Catholic Church in Gainesville, Texas on Wednesday, September 4, 2019 at 10:00 AM. She will later be interred at the DFW National Cemetery alongside her husband.
